Welcome to the Hawks Prairie Rotary Military Family Support March website. The Hawks Prairie Rotary Foundation is helping local families of those serving our country.

Military Family Support March

Lacey, Washington

September 13, 2008

Program start - 9:30 a.m.

Parade start - 10:00 a.m.

The registration and assembly for the September 13, 2008 Military Family Support March will begin at the Wal-Mart parking lot off Interstate 5 at Exit 111 and Galaxy Drive. The 2 mile walking route will proceed down Martin Way to the Tanglewilde area and return. The parade start time is 10:00 a.m. Please join us for the March. After the March, we will be celebrating our local Military personnel and their Families with FREE food (includes hot dogs, hamburgers, fried chicken, cotton candy, popcorn & sodas), fun activities and great spirits at the Wal-Mart parking lot. Come on out and show your support.

This year’s Master of Ceremonies is Susan West. Susan West was born and raised in the Seattle area. Susan graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business-Communications. Since then, Susan has been an Anchor and Reporter around Washington State, working at KOMO TV, NorthWest Cable News, KVEW TV in the Tri-Cities, KREM TV and KXLY TV in Spokane and KVOS TV in Bellingham. Currently Susan is a Reporter for Q13 Fox News.

Susan comes from a very patriotic military family. Her father flew for the Air Force in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Her three siblings were born at bases around the world, including Germany. When Susan was born, her father had joined United Airlines as a 747 pilot but continued to work with the Air Force at McChord AFB.
